Middlesex Gentleman Attorney for the abovenamed Defendant Thomas
Tucker

Hatton Garden in the said County of Middlesex Inn holder the Defendant
abovenamed severally make Oath and say and First this Deponent
William Morton< no role > for himself Saith that he this Deponent did on Wednesday
the Sixteenth day of August last past personally serve Mr Shaftoe Vaughan
who acts as Attorney on Sollicitor for the prosecutors in this Cause with a Notice
in Writing Signed by the said Defendant and purporting that he the said
Defendant John Danson would appear at Hicks's Hall in Saint John Street
in the County of Middlesex on Tuesday the twelfth day of September then next
and now instant (being the General Quarter Sessions of the peace to
be then hold for the said County of Middlesex ) and would then and there
Tay his Traverse to a certain Indictment preferred against the said
Defendant by the prosecutors abovenamed or the said Shaftoe Vaughan< no role > and
once Cox (who this Deponent believes is Clerk to the said Vaughan) or one of
them or at their or one of their instance and request for keeping a
Common ill Governed and disorderly House by delivering to and having the
said Notice with the said Shaftoe Vaughan at his House or Lodgings in
Saint George's Fields Southwark within the rules of the Kings Bench
Prison where the said Shaftoe Vaughan now is and for sometime past
hath bean a prisoner confined for Debt as this Deponent is informed
and verily believes And this Deponent further Saith that at the
time he this Deponent so served the said Notice of Tryal on the said
Shaftoe Vaughan as aforesaid he this Deponent did in the presence
and hearing of the other Deponent Thomas Tucker< no role > request the said Shaftoe
Vaughan to give this Deponent a direction to or inform this Deponent
where his Clients the above prosecutors then lived or resided in order
that he this Deponent might serve or cause and procure the said
prosecutors to be served with the like Notice of Tryal of the said Defendant
Traverse at the present September Sessions For that he this Deponent nor
the said Defendant or either of them could not find the places of abode of
the said prosecutors or either of them to serve them there with
not with standing this Deponent and the said Defendant had weather
utmost endeavours so to do Whereupon the said Shaftoe Vaughan
replied to this Deponent that although he the said Shaftoe Vaughan
was concerned as Attorney for the prosecutors in this prosecution if other
