WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto us, two of
His MAJESTY'S Justices of the Peace in and for the
County of MIDDLESEX (one whereof being of the
Quorum) by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. LUKES , in the said County, That
Mary Colburn< no role > Wife of Benjamin Colburn< no role >
(who is gone away and left her) and her Child
named William < no role > aged about Seven years have
lately come into the said Parish, endeavouring to settle there,
contrary to Law. And it appeareth unto us the said Justices,
and we do adjuge that they are likely to become charge-
able to the said Parish; and upon Examination of the said
Mary Colburn< no role > taken upon oath,
it further appeareth unto us, and we do likewise adjudge, that
the Parish of Saint George the Martyr in the
County of Middlesex
is the Place of the last legal Settlement of the Said Mary
Colburn and her said Child
These are therefore in his MAJESTY'S Name to Charge and
Command the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of St. LUKE , forthwith to remove and convey the said
Mary Colburn and her said Child
from the said Parish of St. LUKE , to the said Parish of
Saint George the Martyr and deliver them to the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to some
or one of them, who are hereby required to provide for them
according to Law. GIVEN under our Hands and Seals
the 23rd Day of October 17 79.

To the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the respective Parishes
of St. LUKE, in the County of MID-
DLESEX, and Saint George the
Martyr in the said County
and to all other Officers whom it may
concern.
