Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex in Your General Quarter
Sessions of the Peace assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of
the Church Wardens and Overseers of the poor of
the Parish of Saint Mary Islington in the County
of Middlesex .

Sheweth


That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under the
Hands and Seals of William Quarrill< no role > and John Staples< no role > Esquires
two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County
of Middlesex bearing date the Nineteenth day of October
1784 Elizabeth Lighton< no role > Widow of David Lighton< no role > deceased
and seven of their Children to wit Ann < no role > aged twelve years.
Eleanor < no role > aged eleven Years Charlotte < no role > aged nine years
Susanna < no role > aged Seven Years David < no role > aged five years George< no role >
aged two years and William < no role > aged one year were removed
and conveyed from and out of the Hamlet of Poplar and
Blackwall in the said County of Middlesex to the said parish
of Saint Mary Islington as the place of their last legal
Settlement Whereby your Petitioners conceive themselves
aggrieved

Your Petitioners therefore humbly
pray your Worships that the benefit of
their said Appeal may be saved unto
them and that the hearing and determination
thereof may be adjourned unto the next
General Session of the Peace to be
holden for the said County

And your Petrs- shall ever pray Etc.
