The Humble Petition and Appeal of

Sheweth


That your Petitioner was on or about the 3d. day of Augt.
last convicted in the Penalty of Five Pounds by Cranley
Thos. Kerby
< no role > Esquire one of the Justices of the Peace for the said County
upon an Information exhibited and Prosecuted by Richard
Coxford
< no role > charging that your Petitioner did at
the Parish of St. Giles in the said County on the sixteenth
day of March lasttake and receive of one John Gordon< no role >
on redeeming the Pledge thereinafter mentioned the Sum of two
Penceby way of Profit upon three shillings
lenton the twelfthday of February last
lent upon a Pledge of a Pair of Boots pledged in the name of
toMr. Walls to John Gordon< no role > contrary to the Statute Etc

That your Petitioner conceives himself aggrieved by
such Conviction and is advised to appeal against the same

Your Petitioner therefore humbly Prays
Your Worships will be Pleased to permit him
to enter his Appeal so that the same may
be heard at this present General Sessions of
the Peace in and for the said County and the
Your Worships will appoint a Day for hearing
and determining the same.

And your Petitioner shall ever Pray Etc.
