Ann the Wife of William Withers< no role > the above Named
Prosecutor Maketh Oath and saith that she was
bound over at the New Police Office in Westminster
to give Evidence against Joseph Ponton< no role > the above
Name'd Defendant for Stealing three Pewter Plates
And this Deponent Further saith that she Prefer'd
A Bill of Indt. against the above Name'd Deft. which Bill
was found true by the Grand Inquest and that
in Consequence of which she attended the Old Bailey
And this Deponent lastly saith that on making enquiry
of Mr. Bryan one of the Turnkeys of Tothillfields Bridewell
who inform'd this Deponent that the the Defendent.
had been sent by them to the Old Bailey he had
been triedat [..] before this Honourable Court and acquited
for want of Prosecution that Deponent being intirely
Ignorant of the Matter Prays his Honourable Courtt
not to Estrate her Recognizances in the above Prosecn.
as it was not done for favour affection Agree or Reward
