MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at
the Session House for the said County, ()
on Monday the Twenty ninth Day of June in
the Thirty fifthYear of the Reign of our S overeign
Lord GEORGE the Third, King of Great Britain Etc. Before
William Mainwaring< no role > , William Bleamire< no role > , Rupert
Clarke
< no role > , Patrick Colquhoun< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the
King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid; and
also to hear and determine divers Felonies, Trespasses, and other
Misdemeanours committed in the same County.

Whereas James Dewey< no role > Hath at this present Session Exhibited his Petition and
Appeal setting forth That on the Sixteenth day of May 1795 He was Convicted before
Patrick Colquhoun Esquire and Daniel Williams< no role > Esquire two of his Majestys Justices of the peace
in and for the said County of Middlesex For that He being a Master Weaver in the Silk
Manufacture within the said County did on the 22d. day of April 1795 in the Liberty of Norton
Falgate in the said County unlawfully pay to one Samuel Hollowood< no role > a Journeyman Weaver in
the Silk Manufacture employed to work for him in the said Silk Manufacture in the County of
Middlesex to wit in the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the said County for certain Works
made and manufactured by him the said Samuel Hollowood< no role > for the Petitioner to wit Seventeen
Yards and one half of a Yard of Umbrella Silk Serge made with Single Silk in the Warp and
two Threads in the Leish and being of the breadth of Forty five Inches the Sum of Seven pence
farthing per Yard for each Yard thereof the said Sum of Seven pence farthing per Yard being a
less price than was settled regulated ordered and declared by the Justices of the Peace for the
said County at their General Quarter Session of the Peace holden for the said County by
adjournment on the 18th. day of July in the 32d. Year of the Reign of his present Majesty
in pursuance of the Statute in that Case made and provided contrary to the Statute in such
Case made and provided and that He was by the said two Justices adjudged to forfeit and pay for
the same the Sum of Fifty Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain whereby the Petitioner
conceived himself aggrieved: Now upon hearing the said Appeal and what hath been
alledged by the respective parties and their Counsel in and concerning the premises It is
Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same is hereby dismissed and that the said Conviction
be and the same is hereby Affirmed and It is further Ordered that the said James Dewey< no role > do
forthwith pay or cause to be paid untothe prosecutor or Informer the Sum of
Five Pounds for defraying the Expences sustained by reason of the said Appeal
