To the Worshipful his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
at their General Quarter Session of the Peace
Assembled

The Humble Petition of Francis
Wood Oldknow
< no role > of the Parish of Saint
Ann Soho in the said County

Sheweth


That Your Petitioner was on or about the
Eleventh day of May now last Part Convicted before
Nathaniel Conant< no role > and John Scott< no role > Esquires two of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County For
that your Petitioner did on the Eighth day of the said
Month of May at a Certain House in Conduit Street
in the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square in the
City and Liberty of Westminster in the said County of
Middlesex Set up Maintain and keep a certain
fraudulent Game to be determined by the Chance
of Cards under the Denomination of Pharash
against the Form of the Statute in such Case
made and ProvidedAnd your Petitioner was
Adjudged to Pay and forfeit for the said Offence the
Sum of Two Hundred Pounds To be distributed as
therein is mentioned

That Your Petitioner Conceiving himself
Aggrieved by the Adjudication of the said Two Justices
Entered into a Recognizance with Two sufficient
Sureties before them to Appeal to the present
Quarter Session of the Peace against the said
Conviction and Adjudication
