For an Assault.

Thomas Gallant< no role > of Peters Lane Cowcross in the Parish of
Saint Sepulchre in the County of Middlesex Hair Dresser and
James Hall< no role > of Saffron Hill in the Parish of Saint Andrew
Holborn in the County of Middlesex Sawyer severally make
Oath as follows And first this Deponent Thomas Gallant< no role >
for himself Saith that he this Deponent being one of the
Bail for the Defendant James Ruffler in the above Prosecution
did on or about the Twenty second Day of October instant on the
behalf of the said James Ruffler the Defendant herein pay
unto the abovenamed Prosecutrix Ann Tarrant in the
Presence and with the Assent and Knowledge of her Husband
John Tarrant< no role > the Sum of one Pound and one Shilling as and for
a full and ample Satisfaction for and in Discharge of all
Damages Costs Charges and Expences whatsoever Occasioned
by the Assault if any Committed by the said James Ruffler on
on her the said Prosecutrix and for which the above Prosecution
hath been Commenced And which said Sum of One Pound
and One Shilling so paid by this Deponent as aforesaid She
the said Ann Tarrant accepted and received with such
the Assault of her said Husband in full Satisfaction and
Discharge of all Damages Costs Charges and Expences
whatsoever occasioned by the said supposed assault on which
the Present Prosecution is founded as aforesaid and the
said Ann Tarrant and also John Tarrant< no role > her said Husband
did in Consequence of such Satisfaction so made as aforesaid
sign and Execute a General Release herein but this Deponent
Saith that the said James Ruffler conceiving (as this Deponent
verily believes that his Personal Appearance herein was
