At the General Quarter Session of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the
County of Middlesex , at the Session-House for the said
County,() on Monday
the Tenth Day of July
in the Thirty Seventh Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Third, King of Great
Britain, Etc, Before William Mainwaring< no role > William
Bleamire
< no role > , Nathaniel Conant< no role > , William Knox< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said
Lord the Kings. assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid, and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the Same County.

WHEREAS the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Stanton
near Winchcomb in the County of Gloucester Have at this present Session
Exhibited their petition and Appeal settingforth That by Virtue of a pass Warrant
a Order Removal under the Hands and Seals of Patrick Colquhoun< no role > and
William Brodie< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex (Whereof one is of the Quorum) acting in and for the said County bearing
date the 27th. day of March 1797 Esther Chambers< no role > Singlewoman was removed and
conveyed from and out of the parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the County of
Middlesex to the said parish of Stanton as the Place of the last legal settlement of
the said Esther Chamber: whereby the petitioners conceived themsleves aggrieved

NOW, upon hearing the said Appeal,and what hath been alledged by the respective
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parishes, their Counsel and Witnesses in
and concerning the Premises, IT IS ORDERED, that the said Appeal be and, the same is
hereby allowed, and the said Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside
and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Stanton near Winchcomb do forthwith convey and
deliver back the said Esther Chambers< no role >
(together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch who are hereby required to
receive and provide for the said Esther Chambers< no role >
until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course of Law.
