The humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor
of the Parish of Great
Burstead in the County of Essex
Sheweth
That by virtue of an order or pass warrant under the
hands and Seals of
Wm Brodie< no role >
and J. Floud two of his
Majestys Justices of the peace
acting in and for the County of
Middlesex
one whereof being of the Quorum of bearing date
the fourth day of October 1798
William Burtwell< no role >
was removed and conveyed from and out of the Parish of
Saint John at Hackney
in the County of Middlesex
to the said parish of Great Burstead
as the place of
his last legal settlement whereby your petitioners
conceive themselves to be aggrieved.
Your Petitioners therefore humblyprays
appeal to this Court against the
adjudication of the said two justices and
their said Order and pray the said appeal
may be saved unto them and that your
worships will be pleased to appoint a
day to hear and determine the same
and your Petitioners will ever pray
