To the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Mathew, Bethnal-Green, in the County of Middlesex ,
to convey, and to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of West Ham in the County of Essex

and to each every of them to receive and Obey.

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto us whose
Names are hereunto set, and Seals affixed, being two
of His Majesty's Justices assigned to keep the Peace in and
for the said County of Middlesex , (one whereof is of the
Quorum) by the Church-Wardens or Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of St. Mathew, Bethnal-Green , that Joseph
Murrell
< no role > and his two Lawful Children Namely Edward< no role > aged
three Years or thereabouts and Frances< no role > aged nine Weeks or
thereabouts (by his late Wife Elizabeth< no role > Deceased) have

Come to inhabit in the Parish of St. Matthew, Bethnal Green
aforesaid, not having gained a legal Settlement there, nor
Produced any Certificate Owining to be Settled elsewhere, and
are become chargeable to the said Parish of
St. Matthew, Bethnal-Green : We the said Justices, upon
Examination of the Premises upon Oath and other Circum-
stances, do adjudge the same to be true, and we do also ad-
judge the Place of the last legal Settlement of the Said Joseph
Murrell
< no role > and his said two Children Edward< no role > and Frances is in
the Parish of West Ham in the County of Essex aforesaid

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name and by Virtue
of the Satutes in that behalf, to require you the said Church
Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St.
Matthew, Bethnal-Green , or Some, or one of you, on Sight
hereof to remove and convey the said Joseph Murrell< no role > and his
said two Children

some and out of your said Parish of St. Mattew, Bethnal Green ,
to the said Parish of West Ham
and them deliver to the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with
this our Order, or a true Copy hereof, who are hereby requir-
ed to receive and provide for them according to Law.

Given under our Hands and Seals this third
Day of September in the Year of our Lord 17 98
