To the Worshipful his Majsetys Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex at this General Quarter
Session of the Peace assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of West Ham in he County
of Essex

Sheweth


That by virtue of an Order under the hands and Seals
of a Mereceron and Daniel Williams< no role > Esquires two of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace acting in and for the County of Middlesex (one
being of the Quorum) bearing Date the third Day of September
one thousand Seven hundred and Ninety Eight Joseph Murrell< no role > and
his two Lawful Children (namely) Edward< no role > aged three years or
thereabouts nd Frances< no role > aged nine Weeks or thereabouts (by his late
Wife Elizabeth< no role > Deceased) were in the said third Day of September
Removed from the Parish of saint Mathew Bethnal green in the
County of Middlesex unto the said Parish of west Ham in the County
of Essex as the Place of this last legal Settlement

Your Petitioners conceiving themselves
agrieved by the said Order appeal to his
Honorable Court against the sane and
humbly pray your Worships to appoint
a Day to hear and Determine the same
and your Petitioners shall ever Pray Etc

At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the king
holden in and for the County of Middlesex on Monday the
Twenty second Day of october one thousand seven hundred and
Ninety Eight

It is Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish os Saint Mathew Bethnal Green have Notice of
this appeal that they and all Partys Concerned Do attend this
Court or Thursday next at Nine of the Clock in the forenoon or
the Mathews of this Petition and appeal to hear and abide the Judgment
and Determination of the said Court touching the said Appeal.
