John Biggs< no role > on his Oath saith that about Nine months age the
[..] Stopped him as he passed the King Brewhouse where he
(Vizt) works and asked him whether be could sell him any Canvas
the told him he could West said he wanted about Six yard and
told the Witness to serve it at Mr Barner's Public House and that
Mr. Baine would pay the money that he act of Six Yards from
be Remnant and carried it to Mr Barnes who paid him at the
Rate of Six pence a yard I received Three Shillings He made
me Spend Six pence of the money in Gin and Water

About a fortnight after Examinant met West as an
who asked for five yards more of the same which he took to
the Public house and Mr Barnes gave him six pence a yard
for it and made him spend Six pence of this also

A Short time after he met west again who wanted

him Fifteen yards at Six pence which he (Examt) carried
to his Own house in Saint Catherines Lane and agreed for
six pence a yard for it but only received five Shillings in
part West asked him for another Remnant of the same
Piece and he came along with the Witness the same day to my
Marters Warehouse and I gave fifteen Yards more which he
put into a Bag and paid him five Shillings for the whole
Two Skain of twine were delivered along with all the Canvas

That on going the Second time Barnes the
Publican said to him - mind that Mr Hartly the foreman don's
find you out It was received privately and he made him the
