Informations taken this Twenty second
day of November 1773 at the Parish of St. Margaret
within the Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching the death of
Thomas Heritage< no role > lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County.

David Hynds< no role > House Surgeon at the Westmr. Hospital
in the Parish of St. Margaret Westmr . on his Oath saith
That on the 31st. day of July last (as Dept. believes) Thomas
Heritage
< no role > was brought to said Hospital as a Casualty
having a Wound on the Right side of his Head.
about one Inch and an half in length, Says that he
Dressed the Wound, and that the Deced was in
the care of Mr. Watson one of the Surgeons of said
Hospital, Says that the Deced continued in a good
way for a considerable time, and Dept. had great
hopes of his Recovery until about three Weeks ago
when Deced grew worse, and notwithstanding
every care was taken of Deced, he died in said
Hospital on Friday last, Novr. 19th. as Dept. thinks,
And Says that his Death was occasioned by the
hurt abovementioned

Shoemaker on his Oath saith That on the 31st. day of
July last (as Dept. thinks) he saw Thomas Heritage< no role >
at Work upon Mr. Licton's House, aforesaid, That the
Deced was Standing upon a Ladder and Sawing the End of a
piece of Wood which supported the Penthouse in the
Front of the said House, That he than with one hand
leaned upon the End of the Timber which broke off
and Deced fell down off the Ladder to the Ground
being about five feet in height, Says that he Deced
was
