of February 1792 at the Parish of St. Martin
in the Fields within the Liberty of
Westmr . in the County of Midsex upon
an Inquisition touching the death [..]
William Johnson< no role > an Infant lying dead
in the said Parish Liberty & County

Darnel Steward< no role > Apprentice to William
Johnson
< no role > of Chandore Street in the Parish of
St. Martin in the Fields Boot Closer as his
Oath saith That on Tuesday last the Seventh
Instant about Ten o'Clock at Night, this Dept
and James Barrard< no role > the other Apprentice
were in the Back Room on the First Floor
in their Master's House Making the Bed
William John< no role > the Deced Aged about five
Years being in the same Room, and no
other Person, Says that the Deced was
sitting upon a Stool by the Fire side with
a Board upon the Stool, That the Deced
fell off the Stool and touched the Handle
of as Tin Saucepan full of hot water
standing upon a Jam by the side of the
Fire Place, That the Sauce pan fell down
and the water poured down upon the Back
of the Deced who lay upon his face upon
the Hearth, That the Deced was very much
Scalded upon his Back Shoulders and Loins, That
Mr. Wilson was fetched, who applied
several things to Deced's Back, but
Deced died, about Seven o'Clock the
next Evening (Febry.) and Dept. thinks that
the Deced died in consequence of
being Scalded.
