had had the Money from Mr. Harper Swant< no role >
and had spent the same in Company with a
blind Man and [..] desired same of the
Lodgers to say he was not at home
that on Saturday morning the 10th. between
8 and 9 one of the Lodger told this
Deponent she believed Mr. Lewis was
dead as the had called to him and he did
not Answer and that between 6 & 7 that
morning she had heard something fall
inthehis room which was over her
head and wished this Deponent would
go up Stairs with her which she did
and they knocked at his Door which
was locked and the Key in the Lock on the
inside and as no body answered this Depo-
nent larsh open the Doorwhenand they
saw the Deceased lying on his Back upon
the Floor and a piece of Cord about his Neck
and other part of it fixed to a Nail of Neck
in the Ceiling and they sent for Mr. Dawney
the Beadle who [..] in liftingoxford the deceased
after

upon the Bed at which time he was quite
cold and Stiff that the deceased bore a very
good Character and a sober quiet Man
that she thinks heknowing and do say with
the moneyhas never been right in his night
