Martha Leary< no role > Wido . of Danl. Leary passed from
the parish of St. Martin in the Fields with her two
Children John< no role > aged upwds. of 7 Yrs. & Margt< no role > . aged abt.
16 months by Order dated the 2d. of this Inst. August
upon Oath says she was married to the sd. Danl. Leary< no role >
at a House opposite the Cole Yard in Drury Lane by a
Priest of the Church of Rome on the 29th. of March 1741
that her sd. late husband was an Irishman and
never gained a Settlement in England and further
Saith that her own mother Ann Peacock< no role > deced
after the Death of this Examints. father & whilst
she Continued a Wido. lived in and rented a house
of the Yearly Rent of £24 in Stanhope Street
in the parish of St Clement Danes in the Liberty
of Westmr. for the Space of two Years and that
she this Examinant at the age of 12 Yrs. or there abt.
was put by her sd. late Mother to one Mrs. Mayners
a School mistress in Bedford bury to learn French
and Plainwork for which her mother gave the
sd. Mrs. Mayners Six Guineas & this Examinant
was to live with the sd. Mayners three years
