A Request from Mrs. Lane to take up the Pavement in the Footway before [..]

in order to put down a Coal hole Plate The Paviors [..]
Paved over her Coal hole.
Ordered, That the Surveyor do view and report and that Mrs. Lane be inform
thereof by himJanry. 25th. 1774.
The Surveyor reported that he had pursuant to the order of last meeting
viewed the Place where Mrs. Lane has requested to put down a Coal hole p [..]
and that if the same is put down it will be no Inconvenience to the Public
Ordered, That it be recomended to the Committee for the Parish of St.
Clement Danes
to put down a Coal-hole Plate for Mrs. Lane.

It having been represented to the Commissioners that there are several Complaints
relative to the putting down and removing Coal hole Plates without the Consert
the Owners and likewise as to the unreasonableness of the Prices charged for the [..]
It was Ordered, That it be referred to the several Committees to make Inquiry
have assumed the Authority to do the same and Report to the Commissioners as
Commissioners disclaim having given any Orders, and that it be recommended
the several Committees that for the future no Passages into Coal holes be covered
with Stones but with rough Iron Plates, much damage having accrued by
broken Stones.
