Examination TextElizabeth Jones Widow of Richard aged thirty Years or thereabouts on her Oath saith, that she was married to her late Husband Richard at the parish Church of Saint Mary at Newington Butts in the County of Surry by Banns about fourteen years ago, that She hath been Informed and verily believes to be true that her said Husband is dead. And that since the Death of her said Husband she lived as a yearly hired servant with Mr. Simmons, at the Coach & Horses Alehouse in Saint Martins Lane, in the parish of Saint Martin in the Fields within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex for the Space of Two Years and a half all under one hiring at the Yearly wages of five pounds, Diet anf Lodging, quitted the Same about two years ago, that since the Death of her said Husband She hath not done any other Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement. // Sworn this 9th of June 1786 Before Wm Hyde // Elizabeth Jones her Mark // N St Wd // P
