Examination TextElizabeth Redburn aged 70 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Benedict in the County of Lincoln as a vagrant upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Thomas Redburn (who died about eight years ago) to whom she was married at St Margaret's Church Westminster about 14 years ago, that he was a Shoemaker by trade and lived in rented house in Angel Court in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of 15 years at the yearly rent of 26 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same before his intermarriage with this Examinant, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant afterwards to this Examinant's knowledge or belief, nor hath she this Examinant since his death. Taken the workhouse the 19th Day of April 1760. [In the margin:] 45, 37; 49, 67.
