Examination TextMary Clymer aged 35 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith she is the widow of John Clymer (who died the seventh October last) to whom she was married at the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields between seven and eight years ago, that her said husband served seven years apprenticeship to Mr Roberts, a Haberdasher in New Street in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together after the expiration of his said apprenticeship, nor hath she this Examinant since her said husband's death, that she hath three children living by her said husband to wit Elizabeth aged six years and upwards, Benjamin aged three years and upwards and John aged one month which last two are now with this Examinant. Sworn the 18th Day of March 1760 before Benjamin Cox.
