Examination TextTabitha Parkinson aged 50 years and upwards lodging at Mr Stringer in that part of Castle Street near Long Acre which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Jonathan Parkinson (who died upwards of three years ago) to whom she was married at St Margaret's Church Westminster about 13 years ago, that he was a Leather Breeches Maker by trade and lived in and rented an house in Church Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of three years at the yearly rent of 18 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about six years ago, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes afterwards, nor hath she this Examinant nor hath been a yearly hired servant since the death of her said husband. Sworn the 27th Day of January 1757 before Benjamin Cox.
