| Examination Text | Ann Brittain aged about 46 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Huggins, a Peruke Maker in Salisbury Street in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and an half at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same 11 years ago, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Taken in the workhouse of 15th Day of November 1756. |
