An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London, that is to say, at the Parish of
Allhallows Barking in the Ward of Tower in London aforesaid on the ninth day of February in the thirtieth Year of the
reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender
of the faith or before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner of our said Lord the King for the City of London and Borough
of Southwark on view of the body of William Murphy< no role > now here lying dead by the Oath of

good and lawful men of the City of London aforesaid who being now here duly
chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the King when how and in what manner the said William Murphy< no role >
came to his death say upon their oath that the said William Murphy< no role > on the seventh day of February in the year aforesaid King
in and on board a certain Vessel called the Linen Hall Brig then lying in the River Thames and being then and there
passing down certain Rope Ladders called the shrouds of and belonging to the said Vessel unto and upon the Deck
rest of the same Vesselit so happened that the said william Murphy< no role > accidentally casually and by
misfortune did fall from and off the said Throsidsinto the said River Thames and in and with the Waters of the said
River was then and there suffocated and drowned Of which said suffocation and drowning he the said William Murphy< no role > did
then and there die And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their oath aforesaid do say that the said William Murphy< no role > in
manner and by the means aforesaid accidentally casually and by misfortune was suffocated and drowned In
Witness whereof as well the said Coroner as the said Joseph Shepherd< no role > the Foreman of the said Jurors on behalf of
himself and the rest of his fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition set their hands and seals the day year and
place first above written.
