The Information of Henry Fry< no role > of Pye Street St. Margt.
West Taylor and Edwd Rogers< no role > taken before me one of
his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the sd County
who being sevly on Oath say & first this Ins Henry Fry< no role >
for himself saith That last Sunday way about Eight O'
Clock then Inst. came ever the Lory field near the Duke of
Bedfords and two Men (one of which is now present who calls
himself John Hales< no role > ) [..] cooped the field to
this Inst. and the said John Hales< no role > demand this Insormt Eyes
and demanded his Money & forthwith took a Bladgeon
from the inside of his Coat And this Inst. being in fear & danger
of his life deliverd to the said John Hales< no role > fourteen Shillg &
fourteen half penny being all the money he had about him
and they [..] him go on And Attorney [..] to kick being & this
Informd ran away & left them and this [..] further saith that
he never saw the said John since till this day when he saw him
in a Public house in Oxford Road & then gave the [..] Ins. [..]
of him & anor but being not certain of the others sd not swear
to him and this Ins further saith them he is cute in that the
said John Hales< no role > is the Person that robbed him & took his
money as aforesaid And this Ins Edwd Rogers (who is a Court
of the Parish of Same) for him half saith That the other Inst came
to him & demanded his assistance as a Constable to come with
[..] & take two Theives and this Ins went to the Public house
and then the sd Ins charged him with two men the sd Hales
being one of them & sayed that he was certain that he had
Robbed him as aforesd. as for the other cod. not be [..]
of him and thereupon his Ins took them both in Custody &
the [..] Inst nor being able to sworn to the other he was discharged
but same positively to the said John Haly robbing him as
aforesaid
