The Information of Thomas Hockley< no role >
taken and made on Oath before me
one of his Majestys Justices of the
peace in and for the said County of
Middlesex the 15th- day of
March 1781.

This Informant saith that at different times
past there hath been stolen from this Informants
Premises a Quantity of Iron for the making of
Horseshoes this Informant property, and this
Informant further saith that suspecting one John
Fox
< no role > who was employed by this Informant as his
Smith, had stolen the said Iron, this Informant
on this 15th day of March instant went to the shop in Gloucester Row Shoreditch in
the said County belonging to this Informant and
meeting the said John Fox< no role > at the Shop Door coming
out, seemingly with his Coat Pockets full this
Informant suspected that the said John Fox< no role > had
taken some more Iron this Informant property
And this Informant further saith that the said
John Fox< no role > seeing this Informant, endeavoured to
Shun him and threw a Piece of Iron which he
took out of his pocket on a Dinghill, and this
Informant on searching the said John Fox< no role > found
concealed about his Cloaths seven other Pieces of
Iron which he had stolen out of this Informants
Shop of the weight of Thirty Pounds and upwards
