The Examination of Phillip Cox< no role > taken this 2d day
of July 1696

Whoe Saith that he hath knowne Wm: Penny< no role > aboute Three yeares
and that the falce Pistole of this Examts. Reced of Mr Covey whoe
lives in the Pelmel & keeps a Cheesemongers Shop to trye if it
was good & it was found to be Silver & the desird that it might be
melted, downe, but cannot tell where or of whoe he reced the
Two falce Shillings of, And this Examt: further saith that one
herring as he beleives, hird his Garret of him aboute a
Yeare and halfe agoe and that he usually Cast Images in
the said Roome, and that he Staid [..] aboute Two Moneths
or thereabouts, and that this Examt: hath beene Informd that
the said Herring since worke at a Goldsmiths in Lumberd Streete
And that One Coffy did Usually Buy leafe sold of this Examts. Master
to Gild with. And that he hath had the Flatting Mill now in his
House aboute a Twelve moneth and maks use of it in his Trade
