The Humble Peticon and Appeal of the Churchwardens
& Overseers of the poor of the parish of St. Thomas in
the County of Surry.

Humbly Sheweth

That Thomas Sparks< no role > and Margarett< no role > his Wife were (by Order
or Warrant under the Hands and Seals of two of his Majties
Justices of the peace of the Said County of Middx bearing
Date the 15th. day of December Anno. Dom 1720) removed
from the parish of St. Bottolph without Aldgate in the Said County of Middx to the
Said Parish of St. Thomas Southwark as the place of their
last legal Settlement, That Your Peticoners, humbly
conceive that they can make it appear to this Court [..]
that the place of the last legal Settlement of the Said
Thomas Sparks< no role > & Margarett his Wife is not in the sd.
Parish of St. Thomas.

Yor. Peticoners. therefore humbly pray Yor.
Worships will be pleased to Order the
Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor
of the Said parish of St. Botolph without
Aldgate to Attend this Court for the
hearing the Said Appeal at Such time
as to Your Worships Shall Sam meet
