of the parish of St. John Clerkenwell in this County

& severall other Inhabitants of the Said parish exhited
their humble Peticon & appeale unto this Court on at
this Present Generall Quarter Sessions of the Peace
holden for this County by adjormn't. on Tuesday the
thirteenth day of October instant setting forth that
the said parish was lately part of the parish of St.
James Clerkenwell & erected into a new parish by
the Comiconers for building fifty new Churches in &
about the Citys of London & Westmr. Pursuant to an Act of
Parliamt. made in the tenth yeare of the reign of her
late Matie. Queen Ann relateing to the sd. new churches
By which Said Act it is (inter al) provided that every
district to be sett out by the sd. Comes. Pursuant to the said
Act for a new Parish shall be a district Parish to all
intents & Purposes except as to Church Rates, the releif
of the Poor & Rates for the highways as therein after is
Provided, And that Pursuant to the said Act the sd. Comrs.
