The Several Examinations of Mary
Bean
< no role > Wife of Alexander Bean< no role > of the
Parish of Saint Paul Shadwell in the
said County Mariner and Mary Oattley< no role >
of the Same Place Spinster Taken
upon Oath before me one of his
Majesties Justices of the Peace for
the said County This 25th Octr. 1748.

And first this Examinants Mary Bean< no role > &
Maketh Oath That John Davidson< no role > came to her
on or about Thursday last the Twentieth instant
and askt her whether she would not buy a Water
Cask which she said she would and upon Monday
the Twenty fourth instant he the said John Davidson< no role >
came again to her about Six o' Clock in the
Morning with a large Cask which he put into
this said [..] Deponents house and for which she
paid him two Shillings And This other Deponent
Mary Oattley< no role > Maketh Oath That she was present
upon Thursday last as aforesaid when the said
John Davidson< no role > offered the said Cask to sale: And
both these said Informants Severally Make Oath
That they Violently Suspect That the said John
Davidson
< no role > did feloniously steal the same from
Mr Le Fever & Company The same having their
Mark upon it.
