The Information of Thomas James< no role > Taken before me this 11th. day of
October 1760

Who being on Oath Says, that this Day about four o' Clock in the afternoon he was at
the Sign of the Sun in Russell Street Cort. Garden [..] when one Palmer came into the said
house and desired this Informt. and others the present to come to Mr. Talbolt at the Sign of
the Kings head in Drury Lane is Assist the said [..] Mr. Talbot, an officer, Says that he in Company
with Wm. Powell< no role > , Wm. Shepherd< no role > , Basil Fielding Palmer< no role > , and Peter King< no role > , went to the Kings
head aforesaid where they saw a Person now present who calls himself Patrick Mc. Carty< no role >
in Company with the aforesd. Talbot and As this Informt. verily beleives in Custody
of an Execution, Says that the said Mc. Carty went into the sd. house together with
the sd. Talbot, and this Informt. in order as this Informt. beleives to pay the Money, Says
That as soon as the sd. Talbot and the said Mc. Carty were got into the said house
he saw the sd. Mc. Carty take out a knife now produced and Stab the said
Talbot in his Side, of which Wound he languished a few Moments and then Dyed
