Be it Remembered that on the 14th. day
of December 1776. John Russell< no role > of the Parish of Saint
James's in the Liberty of Westminster and County aforesaid
Came before me Johns Sherwood< no role > Esqr [..] One of his Majestys Justices of the Peace in and
for the said County and Informeth and Saith that on
the 14th. day of December aforesaid John Whistler< no role > of the Towns Hertford
in the County of the same TownDid use a Waggon upon a
certain Public Highway in the Parish of Saint Leonard Shorditch
and County aforesaid of which he was the Owner not having
his Christian and Surname and the place of his Abode
Painted thereon in large Legible Letters. Contrary to the
Statute in that Case made and Provided.
