Be pleased to take notice that on the part and behalf
of John Whistler< no role > of the Town of Hertford in the County
of the same Town Waggoner I shall appear at the
Next General Quarter Session of the peace to be
held at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in and [..]
the County of Middlesex on Tuesday the 8th. day
of April next at Ten O Clock in the forenoon and then
and there Appeal against a Conviction under your
Hand and Seal bearing date the 21st. day of December
last whereby the said John Whistler< no role > is Convicted in the
sum of Five pounds for having used a Waggon [..]
[..] on the 14th, day of the said Month of
December on a certain Publick Highway in the parish of
St: Leonard Shoreditch in the County of Middlesex on
which was not painted the owners Christian or
Surname and place of Abode in large Legible Letter
as therein Salted, contrary to the Statute and for the
payment of which said sum of Five pounds you.
have caused an Order bearing date the said 21st. day
of December last to be made and Served on him the
said John Whistler< no role > and which order was Served on
Monday last the 24th, Instant dated this 27th, day
of February 1777
