That your Petition was on the 1st; day of March last

Two Of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the County of
Middlesex
for having paid less Wages to on e
Alexander Steel< no role >
a
Journeyman Weaver
for Work done that what hath been Allowed
and Settled by the Justices of the Peace for the said county of
Middlesex Contrary to the Statute in that Case made and Provided
for which Offence Your Petitioner was Adjudged by the said Justices
to forfeit and pay the Sum of Fifty Pounds
That Your Petitioner Conceiving himself Aggrieved by
Such Conviction refused to pay the said Sum of Fifty pounds and
Entered into a Recognizance before the said Justices to prosecute his
Appeal against such Conviction, Not being in any wise Guilty of
the said offence
Your Petitioner therefore most Humbly prays that
the said Conviction may be Quashed - That your
Worships will be pleased to Appoint a Day in this
Present Session for the hearing and Determining the
Same And to Grant such other relief in the Premisees
as to Your Worships shall Seem Meet
And Your Petitioner as in Duty Bound will
Ever pray. Etc. Etc. Etc.
