MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the County
of Middlesex , at Hicks=Hall, in Saint John-Street ,
(by adjournment) on Thursday - the fifteenth
Day of Aprilin the nineteenth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third , King
of Great Britain, Etc. Before Sir John Hawkins< no role >
Knight the Reverend Sir George Booth< no role > Baronet
John Spencer Colepeper< no role > Saunders Welch< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our Said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid; and also to hear and determine divers Felonies,
Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours commited in the
Same County

Whereas John Welton< no role > of Cherry Tree Alley in the Parish of Saint Luke Old
Street in the County of Middlesex Hath at this present Session Exhibited his Petition
and Appeal setting forth That the Petitioner was on the 1st day of March last convicted
Before Sir John Fielding< no role > Knight and William Addington< no role > Esquire two of his Majestys
Justices of the peace for the County of Middlesex for having paid less Wages to one
Alexander Heel< no role > a Journeyman Weaver for work done that what hath been allowed
and settled by the Justices of the peace for the said County of Middlesex contrary
to the Statute in that case made and provided for which Offence the Petitioner was
adjudged by the said Justices to forfeit and pay the sum of fifty pounds That
that Potitioner conceiving himself aggrieved by such conviction refused to pay the
said sum of fifty pounds and entered into a recognizance before the said Justices
to prosecute his Appeal against such conviction Not being in any wise Guilty of
the said Offence and praying relief Etc Now upon hearing the said Appeal and
what hath been alledged by the respective parties their Counsel and Witnesses
of and concerning the promises It is ordered that the said Appeal be and the same is hereby allowed and the
said Convicted of the said two Justiceshe and the sameis hereby Quashed
