Thomas Sterne< no role > }

Thomas Grant< no role > of South Mimms in the County of
Middlesex Tallow Chandler Maketh Oath and saith that
sometime in the Month of August last this Deponent
apprehended one Thomas Sterne< no role > a Boy of the Age of sixteen
or thereabouts in his House who he suspected had entered
the same with an intent to steal and took him before

Dury Esquire one of his Majesty's Justices of
the peace for the County of Middlesex who fully
committed him to New Prison for Trial and bound this Deponent
in a Recognizance of Twenty Pounds to prosecute him
at the then ensuing Session And this Deponent Further
saith that application was afterwards made by the
Father of the said Thomas Sterne< no role > to the said Justice to
Reverse the said Commitment and this Deponent was
informed and believes that the said Commitment was
reversed accordingly and that the said Thomas Sterne< no role >
was taken from New Prison and his Commitment was
altered to the House of correction as a Rogue and
Vagabond and Deponent therefore conceived that the
Recognizance he was bound in was at an end and
that he was not bound to appear against the said
