Penelope< no role > his wife }
Indicted for
an Assault.

Matthew Bainbridge< no role > of Goswell Street in the
County of Middlesex Taylor maketh Oath and saith that
he become bound for the personal Appearance of the above
named Defendants at the Session held December Last
then and there to Prosecute their Traverse with Effect upon
an Indictment found against them for an Assault And
this Deponent saith that previous to the Session when the said
Defendants should have Appeared according to the condition
of the said Recognizance the Defendant Penelope Price< no role > Eloped
from her Husband and has never since been heard of
as this Deponent hath been informed and believes And
this Deponent Saith that being Ignorant of the practice of
this Honourable Court he this Deponent verily thought
and believed that he could not Surrender one of the
Defendants alone and therefore neglected is Surrender the
Said Thomas Price< no role > at the said Session in hopes of being
able to procure the Attendance that the said Penelope Price< no role >
And this Deponent saith that the said Thomas Price< no role >
soon afterwards absconded and left his House and
Deponent hath never been able to meet with him since
And Deponent Saith that he hath used his almost
Endeavours to take the said Defendants in order to
Surrender them and perform the Condiction of his
Recognizance
