This Indenture Wittnesseth That Lancelott and< no role > William Barmby< no role >
Churchwardens Charles Wood< no role > Thomas Ingram< no role > Thomas Kirkham< no role > & John Freelove< no role > Overseeres
of the poore of the Parish of St Clement Danes in the County of Middx & Citty & Libty of
Westmr. according to a Statute in that Case made and provided Have putt Elizabeth Keyser< no role >
Apprentice to Susannah Marshall< no role > And with her after the manner of an
Apprentice to dwell and serve from the day of the date hereof unto the full end and
terme of Eight yeares from thence next ensueing and fully to be compleate and
ended Dureing all Which said terme wee the Churchwardens and Overseeres of
the Poore, with the assent aforesaid Doe Order and appoint the said Elizabeth
Keyser well and Faithfully shall serve; her secretts Keepe her Commandments
lawfull and honest every where shall gladly doe, hurt to her said Mrs: she shall not
doe, or consent to be done of others, but that that she to her power shall prevent
the same, or else from time to time admonish her thereof the goods of her Mrs: she
shall not wast nor them to any body lend without her consent neither from her
service by day or night shall not absent herselfe, but in all things as a good &
Faithfull servant ought to doe shall behave her selfe towards her said Misstress
and all hers dureing the said terme of Eight yeares Taverns or Alehouses
she shall not frequent unlesse it be about her Mistresses bussines there to be
done at Cards Dice or any other unlawfull Games she shall not play whereby
her Mrs: may receive any prejudice Fornication she shall not committ, Matrymony
dureing the said terme she shall not contract And the said Susannah Marshall< no role >
shall teach and instruct her said Apprentice in housewifrye according to her
best skill and knowledge And the said Susannah Marshall< no role > shall give & find to
her said Apprentice sufficient meate drinke, washing lodgeing Apparrell
linnen and all other necessarys meete and convenient for such an Apprentice
dureing the said terme And for the true performance of all the Articles in
Forme aforesaid to be kept the said parties to these present Indentures find
themselves each to other by these presents In Wittnesse whereof the said Pties
to these present Indentures interchangeably have sett theire hands & seales
this 27th. day of November in the first yeare of the raigue of King William &
Queen Mary over England Etc Annoqr Dui 1689
