Examination Text | Maria Saunderson aged about 25 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martinin the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of James Saunderson (who died between 2 and 3 years ago), that since the death of her said husband (she having no child living) she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Douglas, a Taylor in Cecil Court in the Parish aforesaid for the space of 15 months at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the [blank] about a year ago, that she hath not kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant for 12 months together since. Taken in the workhouse the fourth Day of July 1765. |
