Examination Text | Elizabeth Beeson aged 16 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St. Mary White Chapel in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Clarke a Victualler in Hemmings Row in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of two years, had only diet and lodging for the first year and 4 pounds diet and lodging for the second year, quitted the same about two years ago, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 16th Day of July 1765. |
