Examination TextJacob Frobbister aged 47 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Anne within the liberty of Westminster upon his oath saith he was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Thomas Hardon, a Hatter in the Parish of St Saviour Southwark in the County of Surry, and there served his said Master about six years and three months, and then he this Examinant was turned over to Mr Gilbert Hunt a Hatter the corner of Church Court in the Strand in the Parish St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, and there served the remainder of the said term which expired 26 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that he was married to Eleanor his late wife deceased at the Fleet about 12 years ago by whom he hath two children to wit John aged nine years and Nathaniel aged six years both now with this Examinant. Sworn the 20th Day of September 1765 before Peter Planck.
