| Examination Text | Elizabeth Wilton aged about 67 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of John Wilton (who died 10 years ago) to whom she was married at St Sepulchres Church London about 40 years ago, that her said husband was a Leather Breeches Maker by trade and lived in and rented a house in Bedfordbury in the Parish aforesaid for the space of seven years at the yearly rent of 14 pounds besides taxes, that he never did any act to gain a subsequent settlement, nor hath she this Examinant since the death of the said husband. Taken in the workhouse the fourth Day of July 1765. |
