| Examination Text | Isabella Simpson aged 38 Years removed from Saint Clement Danes upon her oath saith that she was never Married that she served Fourteen Months under a Yearly hiring with Mrs Jane Sky near Peters Court in Saint Martins Lane in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields at Ten Pounds by the Year wages diet & lodging quitted the same about 15 Years ago since which she hath not been a yearly hired Servant in any place for Twelve Months together not done any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement. And this Examinant upon her voluntary Oath further saith that she is no great with Child or are Children , which is or are likely to be Born a Bastard or Bastards & to become chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields and that John Griffiths , who she believes is a Procter & resides at Oxford hired several Times cannot Knowledge of her Body and that one of which Times did beget her with the Child or Children she now goeth with & is pregnant of and that he the said John Griffiths is the true and only Father thereof & no Man else.
