Examination Text | Ann Clark aged 33 Years removed from St John Wapping upon her Oath saith that she is the Wife of James Clark (gone to Sea) to him she was married , and no Parish Church of Saint Kathrine near the Tower on the 24th Day of ffebruary that she has been informed & verily believed to be true , that her said Husband was bound Apprentice by Indenture for a Seven Years to Mr Thomas Stevenson at Charing Crossin the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields Peruke maker & beers served its said Master for the space of Two that years & upwards where he ran away & toSea & continued in America about Ten Years that her said Husband never rented Ten Pounds by the The a moderate any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement , that she hath Two Children by her said Husband to wit Ann born May 4th/ & Susannah born the 13th Day of March last.
