Examination TextAnn Clark aged 33 Years removed from St John Wapping upon her Oath saith that she is the Wife of James Clark (gone to Sea) to him she was married , and no Parish Church of Saint Kathrine near the Tower on the 24th Day of ffebruary that she has been informed & verily believed to be true , that her said Husband was bound Apprentice by Indenture for a Seven Years to Mr Thomas Stevenson at Charing Crossin the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields Peruke maker & beers served its said Master for the space of Two that years & upwards where he ran away & toSea & continued in America about Ten Years that her said Husband never rented Ten Pounds by the The a moderate any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement , that she hath Two Children by her said Husband to wit Ann born May 4th/ & Susannah born the 13th Day of March last. Sworn this 3d Day of June 1793 before me John Collick Ann Clark NB enquired of Mr Jno Stevenson
