Examination Text | Catherine Austin aged 25 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish St Michael in the city of Coventry in the County of Coventry [sic] as a vagrant upon her oath saith that she never was married but to Thomas Lilly who then had another wife living, that she was a yearly hired servant to John Kielly a Cheese Monger and Grocer near opposite the Mews Gate at Charing Cross in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of 13 months at the yearly wages of 4 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about eight years ago, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since.
