Examination Text | Mary Aldersey aged 36 years in the Workhouse of and in the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields passed as a vagrant from the Parish of St. James in the liberty of Westminster upon her oath saith that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Aldersey a [Mercer] in Old Round Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of nine years at the yearly wages of 40 shillings diet and lodging, quitted the same about 15 years ago, that she never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 28th Day of February 1757 before Thomas Kynaston. |
