Examination Text | Dallender Fletcher aged 64 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Saviour Southwark in the County of Surry upon his oath saith that is a Peruke Maker by trade and was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Jonathan Willoughby a Peruke Maker in Church Court in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served his said Master about three years and an half, and then his said Master left off trade and this Examinant was by consent of all parties turned over to Hazel Short a Peruke Maker (who took the house and business of the said Mr Willoughby in Church Court aforesaid) and there served all the remainder of his time out which expired in 1721, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 26th Day of March 1757 before Benjamin Cox. |
