Examination Text | Thomas Hanson aged 66 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Olave Southwark in the County of Surry upon his oath saith that he lived in and rented an house in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of two years at the yearly rent of 26 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about 21 years ago, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that he was married to his present wife Catherine after the manner of the Church of Rome in Little Ormond Street 26 years ago. Sworn the 14th Day of March 1757 before Thomas Kynaston. |
