| Examination Text | Susannah Rowley aged 39 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was a yearly hired servant to Catherine Smith in Eagle Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of two years at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same last Christmas, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since. Taken in the workhouse the 26th Day of July 1756. |
