Examination Text | Mary Carolus aged 21 years lodging at Mrs Beeston's in Princes Court in Hedge Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to Barnaby Nugent at the sign of the Two Chairman in Hedge Lane in the Parish aforesaid for the space of two years and an half at the yearly wages of 3 pounds for the first year and 4 pounds per year for the remainder diet and lodging, quitted the same last November, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes. Sworn the first Day of August 1756 before Benjamin Cox. |
